A stick curtain wall with an integrated maintenance catwalk.

MBY provided façade engineering services for the DEKA Electronics Manufacturing and Administration Building in İstanbul, delivering the structural design of the stick curtain wall system together with the maintenance walkway (catwalk) support system. The engineering scope included structural analysis, component sizing and connection design in accordance with current international standards, ensuring safe load transfer and long-term performance of the façade systems.

The façade solutions were engineered to satisfy wind, seismic and serviceability requirements while maintaining the architectural intent of the building. Particular attention was given to the integration of the maintenance walkway with the façade system and the coordination of structural interfaces with both reinforced concrete and local steel support elements, resulting in an efficient, durable and buildable façade solution.
