Seismic performance and floor vibration of an existing office building.
Geberit Headquarters — Seismic Risk Assessment
Provided seismic risk assessment services for the Geberit Headquarters Office Building to evaluate the existing structural system in accordance with current earthquake engineering principles and applicable seismic design regulations. The assessment included a review of the available structural documentation, evaluation of material properties based on available test data, consideration of local ground conditions and seismic hazard parameters, and collection of structural information required for engineering analyses.
The engineering scope comprised the development of analytical structural models, execution of seismic performance assessments using both rapid screening methodology, and verification of the building's structural behaviour under design earthquake scenarios. In addition to the primary structural system, the study also included engineering reviews of floor vibration behavior and recommendations for further detailed investigations where additional structural information could enhance the overall seismic performance evaluation.
