MBY provided seismic engineering consultancy for a nationwide retail portfolio, performing ASCE 41-17 Tier 1 seismic evaluations and visual structural assessments of existing facilities. The scope included structural and non-structural seismic screening, on-site inspections, review of available documentation, rapid engineering checks, and risk-based evaluation of building systems in accordance with internationally recognized seismic assessment procedures.

The project established a standardized engineering methodology to evaluate multiple facilities using a consistent framework, enabling comparable seismic assessments across different locations. Our services included the preparation of engineering reports, structural screening checklists, documentation of observations, and the identification of engineering priorities to support future asset management and seismic resilience planning, while ensuring full coordination with facility operators throughout the assessment process.
