Structural consultancy on a 60,000 m² new production line.

The TR8 Flat Glass Factory serves as an expansion to existing plant facilities to provide the capability to produce colored flat glass. With a total building area of 60,000 square meters (645,000 square feet), the new colored flat glass line includes a furnace building, bath building, cooling and cutting house, a warehouse, and a chimney that will reach 100 meters tall. Sisecam Flat Glass Group is the world's fifth largest manufacturer of flat glass, and the largest in Europe.

Turner managed the preconstruction and construction phases of the factory facilities, besides assisting in the selection of the architect for the project. This project achieved its successful and timely completion on 01 April 2020.

We, as MBY, worked as a structural consultant with other consultant teams on behalf of the Turner Turkey. Our scope is to evaluate the bidders' qualification at tender phase, structural calculation of the facilities and to check structural drawings.
